Sharing powerful healing tools

Healing and living well with Yoga & Ayurveda

Sharing the powerful healing tools of Yoga and Ayurveda has been Lisa’s passion in life. Having suffered from anxiety, depression and anorexia at an early age, she found Ayurveda and the empowering tools of yoga and meditation. These ancient practices allowed her to not only heal physically, but also mentally and spiritually.

Lisa created Veda Yoga Therapy which means “the knowledge of yoga” in 2008. Lisa continued her study of Ayurveda and Yoga. Lisa studied Ayurveda Yoga Therapy at Ananda Seva Ashram in California and became an C-IAYT (Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapy) in 2017. Her studies continued as she trained with Richard Miller, PhD, and the iRest Yoga Nidra Institute, after four years of study; Lisa became a certified iRest Yoga Nidra teacher in 2013.

Having suffered from anorexia, Lisa understands the importance of good food and the importance of learning both Western and Eastern food methodologies. Having learned about food from an Ayurvedic perspective, Lisa then studied at Ashworth College and received a certificate in nutrition in 2011 to gain an understanding of the Western nutrition perspective.

Her journey to helping others began in 1999 when she became a therapeutic massage therapist. Lisa understands the interconnectedness of our body, mind and spirit.

Having a deep love and respect for every person Lisa is committed to helping women on their journey to awakening the healer within; knowing that as we age we have choices to make.

Lisa’s hope is that women will find the empowering tools of  food,  Ayurveda and meditation to be as life supporting and life changing as she has.
